My father always loved video games. A Brazilian immigrant who moved to the United States in his early twenties, he’d spend the little time he had away from work either watching soccer, much to my dismay, or playing video games. Some of my most cherished childhood memories involve me bundled up in my bed watching my father play Super Mario 64 until finally drifting off.
